Through programs and initiatives, we deepen our reach into the communities we serve to maximize impact. While we focus on sourcing amazing food and strengthening our foodshed — we partner with local community organizations with established infrastructure and unique expertise to drive meaningful change. Our community partners support a wide variety of initiatives, but they share a common mission and focus. Their work aligns with our guiding goals—our Ends—by providing access to healthy food, supporting environmental sustainability and local food systems, championing safe and inclusive workplaces, and welcoming the whole community
Round up for change
Each month, through our Round Up for Change program, we partner with a local nonprofit, giving shoppers the opportunity to make a difference by donating at checkout. Our featured Change Partners are introduced to our incredible network of patrons, collaborators, and partners through our newsletter, social media, and in-store promotions—helping to amplify their mission and impact
This program has been a lifeline for many nonprofits, sustained by the generosity of our community. In the past year alone, shoppers have rounded up their purchases, contributing more than $87,000—funds that are directly reinvested in our state to build a healthier, more vibrant community.
This Month's Round Up Partner
Providing Care for Our Equine and Vulnerable Community Members.
Horses For Healing, Inc. provides clinical equine-assisted therapy for civilians and military service members experiencing trauma. Licensed therapists work with children, adults, and families, partnering with horses as part of the therapeutic process to support emotional healing and resilience. In addition to therapy services, the organization offers complementary programs that reflect its commitment to holistic, wraparound care. These programs include yoga, therapeutic massage, acupuncture, mindfulness training, group retreats, peer-to-peer veteran's groups, therapeutic gardening, summer youth programs, and veteran outreach services.
Horses For Healing also serves as a sanctuary for senior horses, providing a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive in their later years. Since 2022, eight horses have been successfully adopted. Rooted in service to both people and animals, Horses For Healing is dedicated to supporting individuals with mental health needs, fostering connection, and helping clients feel valued and engaged within their community.
